We were charged by elephants twice during this trip.
On the last occassion I remember saying to our Masai driver "Are you going to start the car", then it went up an octave,"are you going to start the car?". up another octave,START THE CAR!!"
Anyyway this jumbo didn't charge, but he was letting us know, by flapping his ears, that he didn't want us hanging around!
